Give or Go....these should be our only options! We need to support those who are out in the world helping others or we need to GO and be one of them! Take a few minutes and read about the awesome things people are doing to help others. Find one that touches your heart and give what you can! ($1 from 1000 people = $1000!!!!) No gift is too small! If you can't give money...find a way to Go!

This website is a small effort on my part to get the word out about these (not so well known) awesome people and to give other awesome people a chance to get involved!

Healing House: helping children who have lost a loved one


The Healing House, formerly The Grief Center of Southwest Louisiana, is a non-profit agency focused on helping children ages 4-18 through grief issues in a group atmosphere. We do not provide counseling or therapy, but a safe place, where children who have experienced a death of a loved one can express their thoughts and feelings in a variety of ways.

In support groups facilitated by volunteers, children learn to express their grief through interactive play, expressive art work and discussion groups with peers experiencing the same trauma.

The house has the cozy feel of "Grandma's Cottage". Although Healing House is geared toward children, parents will also find a place to talk and share feelings with others in their situation or spend quiet time reading on the enclosed porch or in the meditation garden.
All services are available free of charge, and run by volunteers.
